A mountain week built around your group
Share Svaneti’s high mountains with your friends, ski club or regular touring partners. Your private guide chooses routes for the snow, weather and your group’s skiing, fitness and interests. In spring, look for the pleasure of sunlit climbs and spring snow when conditions allow, with time to enjoy the mountains at your own pace.
Use Mestia as your base for tours around Tetnuldi, Mazeri, Laila and the surrounding valleys. Tell us whether you prefer longer climbs, more descent, a gentler pace or a balance of touring and local experiences. Your eight-day week includes seven nights and five guided touring days. Final route decisions remain with the guide.

Your base in Mestia
Stay in a welcoming local guesthouse in Mestia, with rooms with private bathrooms and shared spaces for relaxed evenings after touring. Tell us your preferred twin, double or other room arrangements when enquiring; single rooms and special configurations depend on availability and may cost extra.
The standard package includes seven nights: normally six in Mestia and one in Kutaisi, or seven in Mestia when your agreed return arrangements allow. An agreed Ushguli stay can replace nights in the standard itinerary.
Breakfast, packed lunches on touring days and dinner are included, from dinner on arrival in Mestia to breakfast on departure. Vegetarian and vegan meals can be arranged; please tell us about dietary requirements in advance.
Your week · five guided days, flexible routes
This sample week gives your group five guided touring days and one day for rest, independent resort skiing or another agreed activity. We can move the rest day and change the order of tours to suit conditions and your travel arrangements.
Touring pace and ascent depend on the whole group. No particular route, snow type or summit is guaranteed.
Day 1 · Arrival and transfer to Mestia
Meet our team at Kutaisi airport and travel into Svaneti. Settle into your guesthouse, enjoy dinner and discuss your group’s experience, equipment and priorities with the guide.
Day 2 · First guided mountain day
Check equipment and become familiar with the snow and terrain. Tetnuldi can provide a useful starting point when conditions and lift operations allow. The guide assesses the group before planning the next days.
Day 3 · Touring around Mazeri
A guided tour in the Mazeri area, or another route selected for the conditions. Your guide adapts the pace and objective to your group’s skiing and fitness.
Day 4 · Laila or another mountain route
Continue with a guided mountain day around Laila or an alternative area. Route choice follows the current snow, weather and the group’s progress.
Day 5 · Ushguli or a tour around Mestia
Your fourth guided touring day. Ushguli can be included within the package, subject to access and conditions, when it replaces another tour and fits within the five guided days and seven nights. An overnight stay must be agreed in advance.
Day 6 · Rest or an optional extra day
Enjoy Mestia, visit a museum or ski independently at Hatsvali or Tetnuldi. A sixth guided day can be requested and is quoted separately. The rest day can move to suit conditions; an agreed Ushguli stay can change the order of the programme.
Day 7 · Fifth guided day and return arrangements
Finish with a final guided tour. Return towards Kutaisi afterwards, or stay in Mestia for the final night when your flights and the road conditions allow. The return plan is agreed with your group.
Day 8 · Departure or an agreed extension
Transfer to Kutaisi airport at the agreed time. If you want more time in Georgia, ask us to plan and quote an extension before we confirm the itinerary.

Optional extras
Ushguli: a touring visit can be included when it fits within your five guided touring days and the standard package. Road access, snow conditions and the group’s suitability determine feasibility. A longer stay or services beyond the package are quoted separately.
Cloud Base hut expeditions: available on request, subject to guide assessment, fitness, snow, weather and access. We discuss the duration, equipment and accommodation with you, then confirm feasibility and a separate quote.
Extra time and guiding: request extra guided days, additional nights in Mestia or Kutaisi, or a trip extension elsewhere in Georgia.
Equipment and rooms: touring and avalanche equipment rental, single-room supplements and specific room arrangements can be requested, subject to availability and an agreed quote.
Travel beyond the standard package: alternative airports and travel connected with extensions can be quoted separately. Your standard Kutaisi airport transfers and dedicated driver on skiing days are included at no extra charge.
Essential exclusions
- International flights and travel to your departure airport.
- Personal touring and avalanche equipment; rental is extra.
- Travel insurance with appropriate ski touring and mountain rescue cover.
- Drinks, meals outside those listed, personal expenses and museum or other activity entrance fees.
- Cloud Base expeditions, extra guided days, room supplements, additional nights, alternative-airport travel and extensions beyond the standard package.
- Anything not specifically listed as included in your confirmed offer.
Flights, your airport driver and a flexible return
Arriving together
The land programme starts and finishes in Kutaisi. Send us everyone’s proposed flights before booking. If your flight times match the regular Kutaisi group transfer, you travel with that group on the included service.
Your included dedicated driver
Otherwise, a dedicated driver meets your private group at Kutaisi airport at no extra charge. We agree the pickup and vehicle arrangements beforehand, around your flight times and ski luggage. Tell us about any separate arrivals so we can plan them with you. A dedicated driver on skiing days is also included at no extra charge.
Returning around your flights
We agree flexible return arrangements around your flights: travel towards Kutaisi after the final tour and use the last included night there, or stay in Mestia for the final night when flight times and road conditions allow. Your standard return transfer to Kutaisi airport is included. Mountain-road conditions can affect travel, so we allow suitable time for your flight. Alternative airports, extra nights and travel connected with extensions can be quoted separately.
Equipment and suitability
Bring a complete touring setup, suitable winter clothing and an avalanche transceiver, probe and shovel. Appropriate insurance covering ski touring and mountain rescue is your responsibility. Tell us about each participant’s off-piste skiing, touring experience and fitness; we plan around the whole group. For a Cloud Base expedition, the guide confirms any additional equipment and preparation before booking.
Questions & answers
Are these prices per person?
No. €6,300 is the total for a group of three or four guests; €6,900 is the total for five or six. Flights and separately agreed extras are additional.
Can seven people book together?
Yes, please request a tailored quotation. With a maximum of six guests per guide, seven guests require a second guide. This makes seven a less economical group size than six. Larger groups can be split between guides.
Is Ushguli included?
An agreed Ushguli touring visit is included when it replaces other touring days and fits within the five guided days and seven nights. Road access, conditions and group suitability determine feasibility. Extra guided days, nights or services beyond the standard package are quoted separately.
Can we choose different flights, dates or a longer trip?
Yes. Send us your plans before booking. If your flights match the regular Kutaisi group transfer, you use it. Otherwise, a dedicated driver meets your private group at Kutaisi airport at no extra charge, with arrangements agreed beforehand. A dedicated driver on skiing days is included too, and we plan flexible return arrangements around your flights. Different dates can be requested. Alternative airports, extra nights, travel connected with extensions, Cloud Base expeditions and extra guided days are planned and quoted separately.
